It's been awhile since our last update and things have changed - for the better. Last weekend we spent quite a bit of time inspecting and finding lots of areas for improvement. We pointed those out to our builder in a note, which upset him a bit. But he's not writing the big check - we are....
We had a meeting with him mid-week (after our note) and by the time we arrived, much had changed - for the better. There was more to do and subsequent inspections by the City and others found more stuff, but we were pleased with the progress. For the record, there can never be too many eyes looking at whether things are straight, nailed, plumb and so on....
So, if all the fixes are made, insulation will be going in the coming week and then the sheetrock (already piled in the house) will start going up. Outside, there is still more to do - painting, trim work, brick work and much more, but all in all, good progress.
And the neighbors are moving - well not really, but to our north, two more foundations are finally being prepared on Page Street - we guess they are a few weeks behind. Here are some pictures from today's visit:
