We were at the house today checking out the bead board that will be installed on the kitchen and breakfast ceilings. We are attempting to determine what color to stain the board to complement the cabinets and give the room a warm look - no decisions yet.
Meanwhile, the painters are prepping the inside to be spray painted beginning tomorrow. There are still finishing details a plenty to be done but the majority of the painting should be done by weekend. Perhaps as early as Tuesday or Wednesday, the flooring folks will begin the tile work and there is plenty to do - virtually all of the downstairs will be tiled with the exception of the master bedroom. Along the way, counter tops will arrive and be installed.
Outside, sidewalks, stairs and a very short driveway out back is being readied. All good news.
The bad news? It probably won't be ready for move in until sometime in May (we were hoping for April). Thank God we have such a nice apartment to wait out the completion steps. :-(
Next door - 2 new neighbors' foundations were poured today, so there will be a lot of activity on Page Street over the coming few days.
Update (2/15): The painters have done their thing inside already - at least the first coat of mocha with white ceilings. More to come.
