Progress, but not at rapid speed since our last visit. The backsplash in the kitchen was installed incorrectly so it has been taken down. We should have properly installed tile on the walls by early next week. All outlets, ceiling fans, light fixtures and wall switches are in (except the pantry) and they were cleaning the inside in preparation for the carpeting folks.
The bead board ceiling has been stained and sealed and it looks great...but it's blotchy and a bit darker and shinier than expected. The black granite sink in the kitchen is awesome. Still awaiting surfaces in the bath rooms. The concrete front stairs have been demolished - they will try again for proper tread heights and landing. Railings are up on the front porch so we won't fall off in a Texas wind storm.
Hard to believe that its at least another 10 weeks but if they keep making mistakes and need to fix them, maybe it will take that long.
